The CIAA website is built on a Content Management System called WordPress, which gives staff members and designers the ability to easily add material and make modifications to the site. WordPress is extendable, with "plugins" adding custom capabilities and "themes" that change the appearance of the site.
Logging In
CIAA staff and board members can log into the site at https://ciaanet.org/wp-admin. You can bookmark this link or find the login link in the Utility Menu at the top of every page. (The login link hides if you're already logged in.) Please contact Lisa Ka'aihue if you need site login credentials.

The Dashboard
The Dashboard, or "back end," of a WordPress site is where all the work happens. Once you log in, you should be able to see a workspace with a set of menu items along left side and an Admin Bar along the top. From here, you will be able to add an edit content according to roles the site administrator has given your user account. If you are not seeing a way to add or edit content, please contact Lisa Ka'aihue.

User Profile
From the Profile menu link, you'll be able to edit details in your User Profile. You can change your name or email address, but not your original user name. (Please contact Lisa Ka'aihue if you need a new user name.) You can also change your password here. There are also fields for biographical information and social media links, but the site does not use these fields.

The Admin Bar
If you are logged in, the top Admin Bar remains visible even when you're viewing the "front end" pages of the site. You can use these menus to access the dashboard, your profile, or jump to content editing sections.

Screen Options
On the main dashboard and in any list of files, you can hide or show features by using the Screen Options tab on the top right. Your options are saved as cookies in your browser and do not the workspaces of other users.

Screen Options While Editing
You can also hide and show editing features when you are editing an Event, Form, or other type of WordPress page. You can also drag editing features around using the top of the pane. Again, your options are saved as cookies in your browser and do not the workspaces of other users.
